What you'll learn: The importance of scouring fabrics before dyeing, both protein and cellulose fabrics. Mordanting fabrics-how they work. Fabric dyeing-how to make a dye bath, extract color & tips for better dye practices. We will use foraged, grown and traditional dyes. Modifying colors , using PH modifiers and iron to change color range. How to care for naturally dyed fabrics. Resource-list of helpful resources.
